A place to belong: Hope for boys in Haiti
In the Delmas 54 neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, many boys grow up surrounded by instability—poverty, limited access to education, and uncertain futures.
Through a Methodist-supported boys home, children receive more than shelter—they are given stability, care, and a sense of belonging. Here, they return to school, build relationships, and grow in faith within a nurturing community.
In a place marked by uncertainty, they are discovering a different path—one shaped by hope, purpose, and the love of Christ.
Songs of joy rising on the margins of Montevideo
In Montevideo, families live on a garbage dump—surrounded by instability, unsafe conditions, and daily uncertainty.
In the midst of this reality, a local Methodist pastor walks alongside children and their families, creating a space of compassion and hope. Through this ministry, children are welcomed, encouraged, and taught the songs of faith—helping them discover that, despite where they live, they are not garbage, but made in the image of God.
Even here, songs of dignity are sung—and young lives are changed.
Leaders rising in Bolivia
In rural Bolivia, particularly in regions like Cochabamba and the Chapare, indigenous communities face economic instability, limited access to education, and decisions that affect their land and future.
Through Methodist-supported leadership training, indigenous leaders are developing skills in communication, community organization, and advocacy while grounding their leadership in faith and service.
As these leaders grow in confidence, they help their communities strengthen their voice and shape a more sustainable future.
