Leave a Legacy of Faith and Transformation
Through a legacy gift, you can help sustain ministries of evangelization, leadership, and justice across Latin America and the Caribbean for generations to come.
A Gift That Endures
Legacy giving is a powerful expression of faith, stewardship, and hope. It allows you to extend your commitment to God’s mission beyond your lifetime—supporting ministries that continue to share the love of Christ in communities across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Encounter with Christ is an endowed fund. Contributions are invested to grow over time, and the income generated supports mission year after year.
This means your legacy is not a one-time gift—it becomes a lasting source of mission.

Ways to Make a Legacy Gift
There are several ways to include Encounter with Christ in your long-term planning. If you are considering a legacy gift, we encourage you to consult with a trusted attorney, financial advisor, or estate planning professional. Thoughtful planning can help ensure that your wishes are clearly expressed and that your gift reflects the values and commitments most important to you.
Explore the options below to find what best fits your situation.
1. Planned Giving Opportunities
Consider including Encounter with Christ in your will or estate plans. Legacy Gifts, such as bequests, beneficiary designations, or charitable gift annuities, help ensure this critical work contineus into the future.
2. Stock Contributions
Donating appreciated stock can support our work and may offer tax advantages. To initiate a stock gift or learn more about the process, reach out to us at missioninterpreter@umc-encounter.org.
3. Grants through Donor-Advised-Funds (DAFs)
If you hold a DAF, you can recommend a grant to Encounter with Christ directly through your fund’s platform. These grants make a real difference, and we are grateful for your support.
4. IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you’re 70½ or older, you may qualify to make a donation directly from your IRA, potentially reducing your taxable income while supporting our mission.
5. Resources to Help You as a Donor
