Where Your Gift Goes
The Encounter with Christ in Latin America and the Caribbean Permanent Fund is an endowed mission fund established by the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church. Gifts to the Permanent Fund are received and receipted by Global Ministries, which is the charitable organization holding and investing the fund.
The Tax ID (EIN) is 30-0989628 for the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, Inc.
Giving Through Your Local Church
Gifts may also be made through your local United Methodist congregation using Advance #14729A.
Gifts may also be coordinated through conference mission giving or special offerings within your congregation.
Supporting the Promotion Fund
Our primary purpose is to grow Encounter’s Permanent Fund. We also have a Promotion Fund that pays the stipend of our Mission Interpreter and covers Administrative Costs for Encounter. Some supporters of Encounter over the years have donated to the promotion fund as well, and we provide this information for those who wish to contribute. That fund is held by the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church.
