This woman is a local community member working to clean up toxic acid runoff from the Kumurana Mine near Caiza D, Bolivia. The mine, which is closed, produces highly polluted water that negatively impacts the farms and lives of people living downstream. iNDIGENOUS LEADERS TRAINING & CAPACITY BUILDING (BOLIVIA)
Encounter works with Global Ministries to fund needed projects in the areas of Evangelization, improving living conditions for women, children and youth, and leadership development

One of the projects funded via Encounter’s Permanent Fund is “Shade & Fresh Water” in Brazil that prioritizes children offering supervised activities to keep children off the streets.
